ERIC YOUNGDAHL

Bringing Faith From H-Town to Your Town

LIFE events

There is a phrase that has been used to describe Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals: Hatch, Match, and Dispatch. What a way to think about life in general- that we enter into the world, we grow in the world, and then exit the world with the assistance and support of fellow disciples in the faith.  Each step along the way we experience the presence of our living God and his generous and compassionate love.

If you or someone you know would like to get baptized, married, or are in need of a funeral officiant, please don't hesitate to contact Eric and he will be more than happy to help you see that it happens, wherever you might be.

Baptisms

In the sacrament of Holy Baptism, two things occur.  First, the person is claimed by God as one of His children.  This is something that is a one time thing that lasts forever.  God puts his mark on us and says that no matter what we do or how we act, we belong to him.  God's love is just that big.

Secondly, the person is called into service to share God's light with the world. So baptism isn't the end or the finish line, but rather the starter's gun to move us into the world to serve Him and to share on our journey the love of Jesus with others.

Weddings

What a landmark day in a couple's relationship, as they vow their commitment and love to one another in front of family and friends, all with God's blessing. A lot goes into making a wedding day special, and it can sometimes be confusing as to what this sacred ceremony might entail. With the expertise of an ordained minister, you can take the guessing out of the equation and be confident that your wedding will be a day to remember.

FUNERALS

No one likes to talk about death, much less experience the loss of a family member or friend. Emotions cloud one's thinking, and rightly so.  One needs someone to help them figure out the details and to plan a service that will allow mourning for the loss, lift-up the life of the departed, and convincingly proclaim the life that is to come.  Lift high the Cross!
